Na hi verena verāni, sammantīdha kudācanam; Averena ca sammanti, esa dhammo sanantano. Hatred is, indeed, never ceased by hatred in this world. It is terminated only by loving-kindness. This is an eternal law. In our world today, conflicts and misunderstandings are everywhere—between individuals, communities, and even nations. Too often, people respond to hatred with more hatred, believing it will bring justice or peace. But in reality, hatred only fuels more suffering. The Buddha’s timeless wisdom teaches us: Hatred never ends through hatred; it ceases only through love and compassion. If someone treats us with anger, responding with more anger only deepens the wound. Instead, when we choose kindness, patience, and forgiveness, we break the cycle of negativity. This is not a sign of w
